We are back for another day of sewing the DIY Carolina Herrera Dress worn and made famous by Meghan Markle. Today we will actually be using our machines and begin working on our bodice. Yesterday’s video walked you through pattern choices, modifications, and cutting your fabric. If you missed that, please see SEW ALONG DAY 1 here.

Today we will be focused on putting the bodice main and lining pieces together. I will walk you through how I sewed my pieces together and the fit adjustment I needed to make for McCalls 7745. Enjoy today’s video for Part 2: The Bodice

Are you creating your own Royalty Inspired garment? Join Marissa and I on Instagram with the #replicateroyalty hashtag and post your makes and inspiration.
Tomorrow we will focus on my favorite part of this look, the skirt. Those pockets are so easy to sew and look so great. Make sure you watch Sew Along Day 3 to follow along with the skirt sewing portion.

Until next time,
Happy Sewing
About 18 years ago I decided to teach myself how to sew. Long before blogs and resources available today which meant it was often disastrous. But I never gave up because I loved it so much. Today I love helping others get started on their own sewing journey. You can read more about my family and I
