Welcome to Day 3 of the DIY Meghan Markle Dress Sew Along. Today we are working on my favorite part, the skirt and pockets. Installing these pockets is easy and quick on this pattern that I picked up in the thrift store. Even if you didn’t have this specific pattern, you can watch how they go together and easily recreate it with a large rectangle of fabric cut out in addition to pocket pieces. If you need to catch up on Day 1: Prep and Cutting or Day 2: The Bodice– please click on each link to be taken to the Sew Along.
Pattern Weights mentioned in the video can be found here: Thanks I made Them
Tomorrow’s sew along is that belt which scared me to no end. Although there are a couple things I would do differently next time, I was pleased with how my first go at it went and the belt looks very similar to the inspiration dress so that is a win!! Hope to see you back here tomorrow for Day 4.

Until Next Time,
Happy Sewing
About 18 years ago I decided to teach myself how to sew. Long before blogs and resources available today which meant it was often disastrous. But I never gave up because I loved it so much. Today I love helping others get started on their own sewing journey. You can read more about my family and I
